GLASS HOUSES: NEW YORK CITY TROPICS is a five-borough series of paintings based on images from public greenhouses.

 

In progress 2008:  Images from The Carl Grillo Glasshouse at Snug Harbor Cultural Center on Staten Island - supported by a grant from the Council on the Arts and Humanities for Staten Island - which will be exhibited December, 2008 in SHOW Gallery, two minutes from the St. George Ferry Terminal on Staten Island.

 

Following will be images from the Steinhardt Conservatory, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens; the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, New York Botanical Garden, Bronx; the Winter Garden at the World Financial Center, Manhattan; and the Propagation Greenhouse, Queens Botanical Garden.  I will exhibit each series in a venue in that borough.
